What is text to CAD?
Text to CAD is generating a 3D CAD model from a sentence. You describe a part; software builds a solid you can print or open in CAD. It is not placing, finding, or replacing text objects on a 2D AutoCAD drawing.
The two meanings people mix up
Search “text to CAD” and you get two jobs. One is SHX fonts, MTEXT, and LISP on an existing DWG. The other is a new part from a prompt. Cad Bot (aicadbot.com) does only the second. It does not open your drawings or rewrite annotations.
How Cad Bot compiles a sentence
The language model reads the description and fills a strict part specification. A deterministic compiler then builds a B-rep solid in OpenCascade. Numbers you type — hole spacing, plate thickness, thread length — go into that compiler, so they land in the model exactly. If you name a catalog part without sizes, Cad Bot still builds a starting solid with assumed dimensions; sliders rebuild it without calling the AI.
You get STL for printing, STEP for Fusion / SolidWorks / FreeCAD, and an ISO A4 third-angle drawing as DXF and DWG (AutoCAD R2000).

What it will not invent
Scope is the parts catalog: plates, sections, fasteners, shafts, pipe fittings, spur gears, and the rest of the compiler map. Helical, bevel, and worm gears, nyloc nuts, Phillips screws, pop rivets, 45° elbows, Heli-Coil inserts, and assemblies are refused rather than faked.
